Vitex Agnus, also known as Chaste Berry, is a densely branched shrub
indigenous to the Mediterranean and Asia. The central coast of California is
similar to the Mediterranean regions and the plants thrive in our climate. The plant's berries are used in traditional folk medicine for premenstrual discomfort, relief of menepausal symptons, a promoter of breast-milk production as well as many other hormone gland functions.
